Mission Statement:
HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre is dedicated to providing emotional, physical, and psychological support to individuals and families affected by cancer. We aim to foster a community of hope, resilience, and empowerment through various programs and services.
Description:
HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre is seeking a passionate and skilled Zumba instructor to lead energizing and enjoyable Zumba sessions for our members. As a volunteer Zumba instructor, you will play a vital role in enhancing the physical and mental well-being of individuals impacted by cancer. Your enthusiasm, expertise, and empathy will contribute to creating a supportive and uplifting atmosphere within our community.
Responsibilities:
Lead Zumba Classes: Conduct engaging and energetic Zumba sessions for HopeSpring members. Create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere where participants of all fitness levels feel comfortable and motivated.
Develop Choreography: Design fun and dynamic Zumba routines that cater to various skill levels and abilities. Incorporate a diverse range of music genres to keep sessions exciting and diverse.
Provide Guidance: Offer guidance and support to participants, ensuring they perform movements safely and effectively. Modify exercises as needed to accommodate individual needs and physical limitations.
Promote Wellness: Encourage participants to embrace the physical and mental benefits of regular exercise. Foster a supportive community where individuals can connect with others and find strength through movement.
Requirements:
- Certification: Possess a Zumba certification or equivalent qualification demonstrating proficiency in leading Zumba classes.
- Empathy and Sensitivity: Have empathy and sensitivity towards individuals dealing with cancer or other health challenges.
- Reliability: Demonstrate reliability and commitment to consistently leading scheduled classes.
