Overview:
HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre is dedicated to providing support services to individuals and families affected by cancer. As part of our commitment to holistic care, we are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable dietitian to join our team of volunteers. The role of the Volunteer Dietitian is to provide nutritional guidance, support, and education to our members to help them manage their nutritional needs during their cancer journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Nutritional Counseling: Provide one-on-one nutritional counseling sessions to cancer patients and survivors, addressing their unique dietary needs and concerns based on their medical history, treatment plan, and current health status.
Education and Resources: Develop and deliver educational workshops or seminars on topics related to nutrition and cancer, such as managing side effects of treatment, maintaining a balanced diet, and incorporating supportive foods.
Recipe Development: Develop nutritious and appetizing recipes suitable for individuals undergoing cancer treatment, considering dietary restrictions and preferences.
