Volunteers are needed to visit with patients for companionship and socialization. Patients tend to get lonely when they have a terminal illness. Volunteers can make a difference in the life of a hospice patient.
What can volunteers do:
- Visit with patients and socialize.
- spend time listening to their stories and writing them down for the family.
- Celebrating the patients' achievements in life
- Watch their favorite TV show.
- Listen to music with them.
- Help them with sending out a card or letter to someone.
- So many other ways to spend time with the patient.
