This person would be responsible for finding cats that need rescue and connecting them with available fosters. This involves handling the intake email account, monitoring social media groups and area shelters for cats in need, coordinating with greater MN/ND/SD/WI rescue partners, and interacting with volunteers to ensure the safe transfer of cats being taken in.
The communication portion of the job can be done mostly online via email; if you are someone who gets energy from talking on the phone, you can certainly make a portion of your communications via phone. It requires a daily or every-other-day general commitment.
There may be a physical aspect of this role that involves transporting cats from animal control facilities or someone's home (whether it be the finder of the cat or the owner for an owner surrender) to the volunteer caregiver's home. This transportation is usually within the Twin Cities. When intakes occur from other areas (other states), there is transport from those locations to the Twin Cities.
This role requires living in the Twin Cities (St.Paul/Minneapolis, MN) area.

Mission Statement
Kitty Revolution is a volunteer-based, no-kill cat rescue in the Twin Cities, MN metro area that seeks to save the unwanted, the misunderstood, the less-than-perfect, and to help change the way the world sees cats through community education and outreach.
Description
Kitty Revolution was founded by a group of passionate, dedicated cat enthusiasts who are devoted to saving and improving the lives of the overlooked and otherwise discarded cats in our community. Rescue isnʼt just about cute kittens; itʼs about the scared, shy, dirty, unwanted cats, too. The older ones. The ones whose spirits have been broken, who have forgotten or maybe never learned how to trust, the ones who need time and patience and then more time. Itʼs about the ones with serious medical needs and chronic illnesses. Itʼs about meeting cats where theyʼre at and understanding how far they can go.

- Responding to emails about intake. Depends on how fast you work!
- This role can be quite emotionally taxing. The emails we receive are often about an injured or sick cat. A lot of them are from people wanting to surrender their cat - and their reasons can tug at your heartstrings as well as be quite frustrating.
