Volunteer with Caring for Friends and help provide homebound seniors with meals!
We are looking for volunteers to deliver meals throughout Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, Delaware, and Philadelphia counties. We usually pair volunteers with seniors in their zip code.
We are especially seeking volunteers to deliver in:
19124 (Frankford), 19134 (Richmond), 19141 (Ogontz/Olney), 19145/19146/19147/19148 (S. Phila.), 19149 (Mayfair), 19055/19056/19057 (Levittown)
Meals can be picked up in multiple locations so please do not be deterred by our NE Phila. address. Schedule is every two weeks. It takes 1-2 hours each time and the schedule is decided between the volunteer and the senior(s) they deliver to.
Interested? Please contact Neci (NEE-see) DeVore, Program Coordinator, at neci.devore@caringforfriends.org or 215-464-0392.
Thank you for helping provide homebound seniors with nutritious meals!

Mission Statement
To provide food and friendship to seniors, kids and adults in the 5-county Philadelphia region.
Description
Caring for Friends(tm), formerly known as Aid for Friends, is one of the largest food banks and most comprehensive senior meals delivery programs in the 5-county Greater Philadelphia region. Our senior meals program serves over 28,000 clients, the majority of whom are homebound seniors and veterans. Through our food bank’s community food redistribution we provide fresh, frozen and pantry stable food to 250 faith organizations and community nonprofits to fill their pantries and support their group cooking events.
There is no charge, time limit, or age requirement for our services. Caring for Friends will extend its services to anyone who unable to afford or purchase food. While the majority of our clients are elderly, about a quarter of Caring for Friends clients are individuals under the age of 60 who are homebound due to disabilities and illness.
With our network of individual and group volunteers and affiliated caring organizations, Caring for Friends tries to serve the entire 5-county greater Philadelphia area-Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia-in every neighborhood where there is a need for our services.
