Location:

10322 Pennsylvania Ave, Bonita Springs, FL 34135, US

Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide state-of-the-art medical and surgical eye care that is accessible to underserved individuals in Florida.

Description

Created by the Bonita Springs Lions Club as an independent entity, the Florida Lions Eye Clinic is affiliated with Lions Clubs throughout the state. This collaboration brings onsite screenings and clinical care to many in underserved areas of the community, particularly in southwest Florida. Qualified patients can visit the Bonita Springs Clinic and receive a wide range of quality eye care services and medical treatments free of charge. In the recent past, the Clinic helped over 5,000 patients at no cost to them. In addition, over 300 eye surgeries were conducted at the Clinic, and hundreds were referred to outside surgery centers. Volunteer doctors-ophthalmologists and optometrists-throughout southwest Florida provided medical care, prescription drugs, and eyeglasses amounting to nearly $900,000 in free services.
