Friendship is The New Pretty 2, INC. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that inspires its members to walk in their purpose by providing selfless service through community service projects for women and children who are less fortunate. The focus is on helping others see that there is hope beyond their current situation.

The Social Media Committee Chair will oversee and manage the marketing and social media activities of the organization. They will promotes awareness of the mission and purpose of the organization through ongoing communication efforts and branding initiatives, using the social media tools. They will make sure that members and the community are fully informed of nonprofit's resources and activities by using existing and developing social media. The Social Media Committee Chair will work closely with other committee chairs to ensure that the organization is portraying a consistent and professional image to its members and to the community at large.

Responsibilities:

• Work with various chairs to assist them in marketing their areas of responsibility and looking for ways to communicate Chapter information to the community at large.
• Direct the marketing and public relations activities of the organization ensuring to keep the President and Board informed on a regular basis.
• Establishes and maintains a consistent image throughout all promotional materials and events in line with the organization's guiding principles.
• Create web content to help recruit new members
• Evaluate the social media landscape and decide what platforms will be good tools for the organization.
• Work to understand and develop an effective strategy for use of new media, giving serious consideration as to how this impacts the roles of other committees as well as the Marketing Director.
• Work to educate Board Members/Chairs and Members about the use of new media, both from a technical prospective and from a business approach.
• Develop a calendar to ensure regular posts to FITNP2’s social network sites, including program information as well as other related information that would be of interest to our "followers".
• Develop and implement a strategy to use new media in promoting and presenting our programs and events.
• Performs other related projects as agreed upon.

Requirements:

• Attend all meetings
• Engage through membership meetings at least twice a month (must attend at least 75%).
• Communicate regularly with committee & board members and be accessible via email.
• Keep committee & board members up to date on best practices related to social media.
• Exemplify professionalism as a representative of the organization within your networks and areas of influence.
• Performs other responsibilities assigned by President.
• Commit to a minimum of a one-year term.
• Submit annual membership dues.
