Star Hospice, LHC Group is in partnership with Pet Peace of Mind "Keeping Pets & People Together Through Life's Transitions, For many in hospice care, pets can offer unconditional love, companionship, and comfort when it is needed most. Pet Peace of Mind is a program that works through Star Hospice to provide in-home pet assistance when a patient needs help caring for their furry friends. With this kind of compassion and support, patients are able to live out the rest of their lives with peace of mind that their beloved pets are being cared for.

Our program supports patients by:

  • Fulfilling pet care needs
  • Keeping food supplies in place
  • Waste pick up/litter box cleaning
  • Arranging for and transporting pets to veterinary appointments
  • Grooming services
  • Temporary boarding in emergency patients situations
  • Helping find a home for pet when needed
No one should have to give up a pet because they are terminally ill. Pet Peace of Mind's purpose is to enrich the quality of life for seriously ill patients and the pets they love.

Will you help us keep pets and families together through life's transitions? We hope you will say yes and request more information!
