Position Overview: Assist ME is seeking a dedicated volunteer to fill the role of Online Used Equipment Sales Coordinator. This individual will play a crucial role in generating funds for our organization by managing the sale of excess medical equipment. The proceeds from these sales will directly support our mission of providing essential medical equipment to those in need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the sale of excess medical equipment through various channels, including online platforms such as Craigslist and FaceBook marketplace
  • Manage inventory of available equipment for sale, ensuring accurate records and documentation.
  • Coordinate with the executive director to set prices on items
  • Communicate effectively with potential buyers, providing detailed information about available equipment and coordinating logistics for delivery or pickup.
  • Maintain professionalism and uphold the values and reputation of Assist ME in all sales interactions.

Our goal is to establish Assist M.E. as the go-to organization for advocacy on behalf of and providing assistance to individuals with mobility disabilities in the Charlotte/Mecklenburg community.

Description

Assist ME takes in gently used medical equipment, such as standard manual wheelchairs, bedside commodes, tub transfer benches, shower chairs, etc. ), clean them up and gift them to low income, uninsured patients. When patients have this type of equipment, they fall less often and are readmitted to hospitals less often.
