Program Overview

Cooking Matters is a national program run by Share Our Strength & The Food Trust which relies on community partners like the Park CDC to help parents and caregivers develop their skills when shopping for and cooking healthy foods on a budget. The program includes curriculum, materials, and training, and can be delivered in person or virtually.

Volunteer Needs

Volunteers will support the program by facilitating educational programs that teach people about nutrition and how to make healthier choices both at the store and in preparing food at home through a variety of formats, including seminars, demos and taste tests, grocery store tours, and hands-on cooking classes.
