Summary
Art in Tanzania's Media Department uses digital media outlets like social media, web pages, and blogs to give visibility to our programs for marketing purposes and to educate the public.
Details
Our community-based programs aim to empower the local communities and individual people.
Interns experience daily life in Tanzania while also witnessing the growth of one of the fastest-growing economies in Africa.
We use social media to empower the program's visibility to the public and as a marketing tool. Often, we use it to provide information about our work in the communities.
Our Facebook pages have more than 50k followers and a solid visibility base for the Tanzanian public.
We highlight media in network development and constantly wish to develop tools to reach our target groups in universities and the private sector.
Our media tools include arts, music, and film. In addition, we offer an immersive experience for students who desire to use innovative and creative African media tools.
Our media is advocacy, visibility, and marketing-focused. In addition, we provide in-country orientation, training, and academic tutoring for the program.
Academic-level team leaders supervise your internship daily. In addition, we monitor your work with a weekly plan and report system to ensure you proceed well in your study program.
The internship outcome is to learn to use your studies and experience to work in developing country conditions.
Work hours are 6-8 hours per day, Monday through Friday. Your program can be from 2 weeks to 12 months.
We can take students in all year round as all programs are ongoing. Your placement is tailored to your background, experience, and interests to empower our daily work with the communities.
You can also conduct the thesis, related tasks, and internship placement.
The typical morning tasks include practical fieldwork in the schools and communities, and afternoons are for planning, reporting, and social media visibility functions.
