Hospice Volunteering provides irreplaceable help to those that are suffering from a terminal illness and their families. There is a wide variety of services that a volunteer can provide here are a few consider.
- Social visits/Companionship
- Play games
- Watch movies
- Write the persons life story for future generations of their family
- Animal Therapy (if your animal qualifies)
- Music (sing or play an instrument)
- Art ( hand sculptures, paint or draw with patients)
- Light housekeeping or yardwork
- Respite sitting (stay with patient while caregiver takes a break)
- Run errands
The ideas are endless here, and everyone has something to give.
To qualify to become a volunteer you must be able to pass a background check, complete provided training, and TB testing.

Description
Hospice care is provided to the community of the terminally ill. Hospice patients have been diagnosed with an illness that will ultimately take their life. During this transition from life to death, it is vital to have proper support. Volunteers that choose to volunteer with PrimRose will give back in a way very few do. Volunteers provide socialization to the sick, lonely, and their families. Our goal is to have a volunteer for each our our patients! We believe that no patient should die alone. We love to work with our volunteers and provide flexibility in their scheduled.
