Do you enjoy nature? Come help us maintain local MRCA trails in Santa Clarita Valley including Whitney Canyon, Elsmere Canyon, Rice Canyon, Towsley Canyon, and Pico Canyon.
We meet every Wednesday and the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month and do one of the following activities.
Tread Repair
- Level trails
- Install and maintain water bars to prevent erosion
Brushing
- Remove overgrowth and weeds from trails
Reestablish Old Trails
Tamarisk Removal
- Tamarisk is an invasive non native plant

Mission Statement
The MRCA is dedicated to the preservation and management of local open space and parkland, watershed lands, trails, and wildlife habitat.
Description
The MRCA manages and provides ranger services for almost 60,000 acres of public lands and parks that it owns and that are owned by the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy or other agencies and provides comprehensive education and interpretation programs for the public. The MRCA works in cooperation with the Conservancy and other local government partners to acquire parkland, participate in vital planning processes, and complete major park improvement projects.
