Develop your expertise on local history and culture and become part of a vital team of volunteers. Pasadena Museum of History seeks adults who are available two or more times a month to greet visitors in our History Center Galleries. Gallery Hosts explain the topic and layout of current exhibitions, answer questions, and introduce visitors to the Museum and its programs.
Gallery Hosts are stationed at a table by the entrance to the exhibitions for 2.5-hour shifts, either from noon to 2:30 or 2:30 to 5:00 pm, Wednesday through Sunday. We ask you to walk through the galleries more than once during your shift. Gallery hosts are encouraged to bring reading material or other small activities to occupy your time between visitors. Curator-led walk throughs of each exhibition are offered periodically. Orientation is provided.
