Come help us spruce up the River Park, your local green space! Our Trail Cleanups are a great opportunity to beautify the grounds of the park and give a little love to the planet. Spend some time on your Saturday morning to improve the lives of our local wildlife and community members by giving them a safe and clean space to enjoy.
WORKDAY DETAILS
→ Date: Every 3rd Saturday of the month (weather permitting)
→ Time: 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM
→ Location: It varies on where the park needs support that week -e sign up on Google form to learn the specific location for the month!
Volunteers are asked to arrive by 9:00 AM for a contactless sign-in; workday instructions will follow and we will begin our walking cleanup shortly after.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
We provide all necessary tools for the cleanup as well as disposable gloves. The workday will run through 11:00 AM, or when it gets too hot to work outside (seasonal).
Restrictions:
- We are unable to accommodate drop-ins if the event is sold out. School groups and corporate teams must contact the Volunteer Coordinator in advance to schedule events.
- The minimum age to volunteer is 10 years old. Chaperones are required for individuals age 15 and under.

Preparation:
- Restrooms will not be readily available during the clean up, as we will be walking through the park
- A drinking fountain is onsite, though we highly encourage you to bring a full, reusable water bottle
- Closed-toed shoes and clothes you are comfortable getting dirty are essential
- We highly recommend wearing sunscreen and bringing a hat
- Inclement weather may cancel this event; we will contact you should conditions require the event to be postponed
We adhere to the stricter of State and County Public Health guidelines pertaining to COVID-19; please check the Santa Clara County Public Health Department's COVID-19 Guidelines for the General Public for the most up-to-date regulations for outdoor settings.

Description
The Guadalupe River Park Conservancy provides community leadership for the development and active use of the Guadalupe River Park & Gardens through education, advocacy and stewardship. Past efforts by the Conservancy contributed to collaboration among government agencies and community interest groups seeking to solve problems related to the Guadalupe River flood control project. The Conservancy is continually involved in completing the master plans for both the park and gardens, creating educational programs, promoting awareness of the Park & Gardens, and developing membership and volunteer opportunities to increase public support and involvement.
