The Medica Zone is recruiting an individual to direct our Graphic Design Department.
The Graphic Design Director is creative and strategic leader responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of graphic design within our organization. This role involves a combination of artistic vision, design expertise, and management skills. Responsibilities:
Design Leadership: Provide creative direction and vision for all graphic design projects, ensuring they align with The Medica Zone's brand identity and objectives.
Team Management: Build and lead a team of graphic designers, assigning tasks, setting priorities, and fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
Project Management: Oversee multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Design Strategy: Develop and implement design strategies that drive brand consistency and create a positive visual impact for the organization or clients.
Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with design trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices to ensure the design team remains innovative and competitive.
Quality Assurance: Review and approve final design deliverables to ensure they meet design briefs and quality standards.
Mentorship and Training: Provide guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities to design interns and team members to help them grow and excel in their roles.
Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and content creation to ensure cohesive and integrated design solutions.
Qualifications:
A bachelor's or master's degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field is required.
Extensive experience in graphic design with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects. Years of leadership or management experience is required.
Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) or Canva, and knowledge of other relevant tools and platforms.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to articulate design concepts and ideas to team members and interns.
Exceptional creative and artistic skills with a keen eye for detail, layout, typography, and color theory.
Effective leadership and management skills, including the ability to inspire and motivate a team, make decisions, and solve problems.
The capacity to adapt to changing design trends and technologies while maintaining a commitment to innovation.
