Lend a hand to help refill our native seed libraries and meet up weekly with fellow native plant enthusiasts! Spend the morning cleaning and packaging native seeds while you chat all things native plants. Check out free native seeds from our seed library for your winter sowing projects! Our seed libraries are located outside our office at 301 N. Ninth Street in St. Clair and at SC4 Library in Port Huron with dozens of types of tree, shrub, grass and flower seeds as well as printed educational materials. Description
Friends of the St. Clair River is Michigan's Thumb Coast environmental non-profit showing 40 miles of love to the St. Clair River and its watersheds since 2007. Based in St. Clair County, our service area includes the 40-mile long St. Clair River and five smaller sub-watersheds draining directly into Lake Huron, the St. Clair River, and Lake St. Clair.Together - with our local, regional, state, and federal partners - we implement a variety of initiatives including water and land stewardship, water quality monitoring, river cleanups, advocate for healthy water, lead research-based ecosystem management, and promote responsible water-based recreation.
