About Mentor A Promise:

Mentor A Promise is a non-profit organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of homelessness for NYC youths and families by providing educational resources and opportunities. We partner with family temporary housing sites across New York, educational institutions, and community organizations to create a strong support network for young people experiencing homelessness, helping them overcome challenges and forge their own path to success.

Position Overview:

As a Mentoring Program Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and success of our mentoring programs. You will be the main point of contact for mentors working with our sites or our online program, providing support and facilitating connections between mentors, mentees, and families.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and schedule in-person or online mentoring sessions.
• Facilitate communication between mentors, mentees, and families in our programs.
• Collect relevant information and feedback from families and mentors to improve our programs.
• Provide ongoing support and resources to mentors and mentees.
• Address any concerns or challenges brought up by mentors, mentees, or families.

Requirements:

- Strong organizational and communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for making a difference.

- Commitment to upholding Mentor A Promise's values.
