Position Summary: As the Director of Community Outreach, you will be the face of the Dream Factory of Brooklyn within the community, spearheading our fundraising efforts and networking activities. This volunteer position is ideal for someone passionate about community service, with a knack for connecting people and resources to support our mission. Your work will directly impact our ability to serve the community and make a difference. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement effective fundraising strategies to support the organization’s programs and initiatives. - Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, individuals, and other relevant organizations to support fundraising and partnership opportunities. - Organize and coordinate community events and outreach programs to raise awareness and support for the Dream Factory of Brooklyn. - Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and in media appearances, articulating our mission, programs, and impact effectively. - Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to promote events and campaigns. - Recruit and manage volunteers to support community outreach and fundraising activities. Qualifications: - Must reside in New York City. - Proven experience in fundraising, community outreach, or a related field. - Strong networking skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders and cultures. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Passionate about community service and making a positive impact. - Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative outreach strategies.
