The Job Carr Cabin Museum strives to serve the Tacoma community beyond the walls of the Cabin. We regularly takes part in community festivals such as Lunar New Year, farmers markets, and other spring and summer festivals around the city. We host a booth where children can receive free craft kits and the community can get information on how to visit the museum.
Volunteers would help staff in welcoming the public, engaging in a friendly manner, and handing out information and craft kits. Community festivals take place at a variety of times, days, and locations, so volunteers can pick which timeframe works the best for unique schedules. Shifts are typically two hours long and can be done seated at a table.
These events help us to share the stories that make Tacoma's history so unique and continue to make us a great city!
