The Southwest Nephrology Conference is a locally hosted annual meeting for healthcare professionals working with renal/kidney patients in dialysis and transplant. This meeting is provided as an update on care and innovations in these care areas to positively impact patient outcomes. We offer these sessions at a fraction of the cost because of our sponsorships we receive and community volunteers that help support our mission to provides awareness, assistance and hope to Arizonans at-risk and impacted by kidney disease. This meeting is vital to the continuing education of many of the attendees. Because we have a small staff, we rely on volunteers to assist with administrative and customer facing tasks. These include registration and conference check-in, conference area traffic direction, badge scanning, and material running. We are seeking proficient individuals that are interested to come volunteer to help make this meeting a success. Volunteers will be provided conference meals during their shift as well as the opportunity to audit any of the educational sessions that take place when not assigned somewhere else, and a tote bag.
