Anchor Health is currently seeking Art Project Volunteers in the Brentwood, California area to help our staff do fun art projects with hospice patients.
This is a meaningful and beautiful opportunity to provide service and to help bring smiles and happiness to people's lives.
The ongoing volunteer assignment will likely be once a month on a weekday for approximately 2 hours. The volunteer will accompany Anchor Health staff in helping patients with the art projects.
Tentative dates are:
- February 12 / 2:00-4:00
- March 12 / 2:00-4:00
- April 9 / 2:00-4:00
- June 11 / 2:00-4:00
Volunteering for Anchor Health will give you an opportunity to truly make a difference in other people's lives. Your smile, your listening, your attention, and your compassionate presence will bring the important gift of connection and affirmation to someone who is on their end-of-life journey.
How do you get started?
Let us know you're interested, and our Volunteer Coordinator will give you a call! You will receive an orientation to hospice concepts as well as training for your patient visits and/or administrative help, and you will be well-supported and greatly appreciated by patients, their families, and the entire Anchor Health Hospice team.
If you're interested, we also have opportunities for you to visit in person with patiens to provide them with companionship or to volutneer remotely from home (computer and phone needed).

Description
Volunteer Services : Trained volunteers provide support by giving personal health in a companionship and service role. They provide companionship for patients and respite for family members and other health givers, run errands, prepare meals and spend time listening and sharing with the patient and/or family.
