This position functions within the Division of Administration at Reconstruction Era National Historical Park. The work involves assisting and promoting park staff and volunteers in health and wellness activities across divisions. The volunteer will provide the work and assistance necessary to support the park’s health and wellness team at Reconstruction Era National Historical Park.

Major Duties

Physical Health and Wellness

  • Research program ideas and promote team building through health-conscious activities among park staff and volunteers.
  • Assist the leadership team with communications for health and wellness activities across divisions.
  • Assist in visitor relations that involve physical health - including accessibility and safety at community spaces and park events.

Mental Health and Wellness

  • Research programs, studies, and resources that would promote staff and volunteer mental health in the workplace.
  • Assist the leadership team with communications for health and wellness activities across divisions.
  • Assist in visitor relations that involve mental health - including accessibility and accommodation checks at park sites and for park programs.
