Mission Statement
Thank you for your interest in hosting a food drive to feed families in your community! Messiah Community Food Shelf, in partnership with 360 Communities, needs donations for families within the community who are experiencing food insecurity due to life complications, increased rent, fuel, and food costs.
Description
As a Community Food Shelf, we’ve been committed to providing healthy, nourishing food to our customers to promote strong, thriving, and wholesome families since 2004. Together with 360 Communities we provide support to our local community to promote long-term self-sufficiency. Our food shelf offers a wide variety of healthy food options like fresh produce, and whole grains and items that are low in fat, sodium, and sugar. These offerings help meet family’s nutritional needs and contribute to better community health overall.
Messiah Community Food Shelf, located in Lakeville, MN, distributes on average 32,000 pounds of food each month to almost 300 families. Families can schedule an appointment to shop in a healthy, multi-ethnic food shelf Monday 12-6, Tuesday 10-6, Thursday 10-6, Saturday 9-12.
