Caring for a loved one on hospice requires 24/7 dedication -- volunteers like you will provide the break caregivers need for vital self care. This volunteer opportunity involves sitting in the home with the hospice patient for 1-3 hours per visit while the caregiver runs errands, gets to the doctor, visits with friends or simply takes a walk. Solace Hospice Care clients live in private homes in St. Louis City, South County, North County, Webster Groves, Chesterfield, Ballwin, Des Peres, Eureka, St. Charles, St. Peters and Lake Saint Louis. Solace Hospice Care was founded on the idea that all patients and their families have the right to be educated and involved in the decisions that determine how their end-of-life journeys look. Our goal is to empower our patients and their families as we walk beside them. We are focused on the people in our community and are committed to the idea that no one should have to die alone. We believe that by providing our patients and families with the tools they need, they can courageously and peacefully walk the end-of-life journey. Many patients and their caregivers will tell you that they wished they would have started hospice sooner. Description
Solace Hospice Care provides end-of-life care for individuals who are terminally ill. We have an amazing staff of professionals that are very passionate about giving the best care possible. We service the following counties: St. Louis, St. Louis City, St. Charles, Jefferson and Franklin.
Our volunteers can do anything from direct patient care (if licensed), direct patient companionship, music therapy, pet therapy, massage therapy or even help in our office.
