Spectrum360 challenges expectations for children, adolescents, and adults across the full spectrum of autism and related disabilities through innovative special education, employment supports, and community-building.
We do not define individuals by their disabilities. Using evidence-based approaches, we push the boundaries of traditional programs and services, helping each person we serve to discover unique talents, develop self-worth, and maximize opportunities for independence, self-direction, citizenship, and community integration.
We are looking for volunteers to join the committee of our Walk for a Lifetime event. This fundraising event is on June 9th in Verona Park. This is a fun morning event that brings together students, families, alumni and community supports to walk in honor of Spectrum360's community. It brings in around 600 people (last year we had close to 700!) and raises approximately $200,000 for our programs and services for participating students and adults.
Committee members will:
- Attend monthly committee meetings
- Help the organization connect to local businesses and individuals for potential donations and sponsorships
- Help with solicitation for new fundraising individuals and teams to join the event
- Help plan different elements of the event (raffle, kids activities, awards, program details, etc.)
If interested, please contact Erin at emortara@spectrum360.org
Our first meeting will be held virtually on February 28th in the evening.
