Looking for Golden Retriever Rescue of Wisconsin (GRRoW) Virtual home visit volunteers Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of Golden Retrievers in need? Whether you prefer "hands on" or prefer 'behind the scenes" work...GRRoW has a place for you! Our rescue team is looking for dedicated volunteers to help us save and care for these wonderful companions. Opportunities include:

Virtual Home Visit Team Member

There are several steps to applying for a dog with GRRoW (and most other rescues)!

1. Application is received
2. Phone screen
3. Background & Vet Checks
4. Home visit
5. Approval
6. Adoption (after the applicant is approved and after a Meet & Greet)

We are looking for volunteers to complete step 4.

Requirements:

  • technically savvy for virtual screening
  • not afraid to ask tough questions
  • excellent verbal and written skills
  • ability to work with a team
  • great time management
  • discretion and professionalism
  • ability to assess verbal and non-verbal cues in a conversation
We are looking to grow our team! Our expectations of screening volunteers is that you be proactive. Jump in when you are available to screen. Ensure completed screening is sent in immediately. Once you sign up for screening an applicant, you are their advocate to ensure their application is screened and submitted in a timely manner.

Our rescue is located in Wisconsin and is foster only based! This is a virtual opportunity so anyone can apply.

We encourage and promote responsible dog ownership, to reduce the abuse and neglect of all Golden Retrievers through rehabilitation and adoption. We do everything in our power to assure humane treatment, spay/neuter, rehabilitate Golden Retrievers by placing them in caring foster homes. We strive to educate the public in responsible dog ownership, proper health & nutrition, spay/neutering, training & good canine citizenship and discourage unwanted & careless breeding practices. We promote humane care for all dogs.

GOLDEN RETRIEVER RESCUE OF WISCONSIN, INC. is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming Golden Retrievers. GRRoW is a volunteer-run organization, and to cover the expenses of caring for rescued goldens we rely on donations and fundraising as well as sales from our online shop to continue our mission to save goldens who deserve a long and fulfilling life.
