In addition to safe, affordable housing, Solid Ground provides parents with services that support long-term goals of increased stability, improved health, and long-term success. One of these services is weekly Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) training. DBT assists clients in the regulation of emotions typically brought on by severe stress and trauma and has been shown to help our clients successfully manage their mental and chemical health.
So that our families can be fully present during these trainings, we are asking for 1-2 volunteers to help occupy a small group of little ones (ages 0-5) while their parents are attending these sessions. Tasks include playing games, reading books, dancing, singing, making art, etc. If you enjoy playing with children, then this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Times needed are Mondays, from 5:30-7:30pm.
