Parker’s Way Foundation is a Non-Profit Organization dedicated to promoting Autism Awareness and Acceptance in underserved communities. Through planned social activities we strive to create educational opportunities for communication, friendship, and collaboration in communities of diverse social and economic experiences. We believe that this can also be achieve through sports.
We are looking for coaches to help us with our Ausome "Sports Explorer" Program.
At our AUsome Sports Explorer program, we embark on a journey where every child's unique abilities shine and triumph. Our program is not just about sports; it's a celebration of each child's individuality and the extraordinary joy that comes from being a part of something truly inclusive.
Our program aims to provide a supportive and inclusive environment for autistic elementary school-aged children (5-12 years old) to learn and enjoy three different sports over a 6-8 week period. Through adaptive coaching techniques, the program focuses on developing fundamental skills, social interaction, and overall well-being.
Final start date, practice time, and location TBD. We hope to start 6/1/2024
If this sounds like a great opportunity for you to do great work in the local Gwinnett autism community, don't hesitate to reach out! We are looking for coaches of all levels.
*This volunteer opportunity is open to high school atheltes/students as well.
