Bottle Babies!
Join our foster team to help the most vulnerable animals that come into the shelter.

Want to bring your group to volunteer at the AHS shelter? Through our Service Day program, we can accommodate groups of up to 20 volunteers per session.

Service Days are available Tuesday - Thursday for a recommended time of 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Service Days do not include hands-on contact with animals, but focus on very important aspects of shelter life that help animals in need (volunteers who help us with animal care go through an in-depth training process and commit to monthly hours. Click here to learn more.)

Each Service Day includes a behind-the-scenes tour, shelter improvement tasks, and a meet-and-greet with an animal. Service Days should be scheduled at least one month in advance at the shelter’s availability; not all dates will be available. Please email asmith@austinhumanesociety.org for more information, pricing, and to schedule!

About Austin Humane Society

Location:

124 West Anderson Lane, Austin, TX 78752, US

Mission Statement

The Austin Humane Society (AHS) offers comprehensive, humane, life-saving animal services, transforming the lives of animals and those who love them.

Description

Serving our community since 1952, the Austin Humane Society (AHS) is the longest standing no-kill shelter in Austin. AHS transforms the lives of animals and the people who love them through life-saving programs that find animals homes, serve animals and people in times of crisis, prevent future homelessness through spay and neuter, and engage the community to be a part of the solution. Over the past year, AHS has unleashed hope for over 11,000 animals thanks to the generosity of our donors.
