Elysium Sanctuary is an all-volunteer nonprofit that serves foster youth and their families in Oregon. Despite our relatively small size, we serve dozens of families every year! We are currently looking for additional board members and volunteers to help expand our services. Elysium volunteers typically work independently, but we do have occasional meetings via zoom to discuss goals, plan upcoming events, and celebrate our successes. Here are the ongoing volunteer roles that are currently available. All volunteer positions are flexible and can be done remotely.
Fundraising Coordinator/Grant Writer
This volunteer finds, writes and submits grants to applicable organizations, and communicates and assists the fundraising team with ongoing projects. Previous experience as a grant writer or in non-profit work would be beneficial but is not required.
Board Member
Board members fundraise for the organization and make decisions together about the overall direction (which programs to focus on each year, program and expenditure policies, etc).

Mission Statement
We are dedicated to building a community of supports for foster youth and their families.
Description
We are a small, local nonprofit who have helped over 100 foster families all over Oregon. We provide birthday party supplies, clothing, toys, books, and care packages. We are looking for volunteers to help us run these programs. Our future goals are to help support policy change and create a sustainable community to support foster families by providing crisis intervention, tangible supports like a foster care closet, skills training, tutoring, support groups, and a visit space for bio families to safely visit with their kids.
