Purpose
- The volunteer provides wayfinding services, wheelchair patient transport, and handles requests from patients or visitors/family members.
Supervising Personnel
- Volunteer Services Manager
Training
- General Windham Hospital volunteer orientation
Responsibilities
- Answer the phone for requests for wheelchair transport
- Provide directions
- Be an escort as needed
Minimum Requirements
- Must be able to communicate with diverse populations.
- Must be willing to follow directions from professional staff.
- Understands the need for confidentiality and the ability to maintain such.
