A 45-year-old man with ALS would love a volunteer to help him around the house with things like dishes and folding laundry. He speaks Spanish, so would ideally love a Spanish-speaking volunteer that he can converse with! He is open to volunteer visits any day of the week, in the morning or afternoon for approximately 1-2 hours at a time.

Description

What is ALS?

ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a degenerative disease of the central nervous system. ALS results in the progressive weakness of voluntary muscles which often leads to total paralysis. There is no known cause or cure for ALS. People with ALS typically live between two and five years after being diagnosed.

How does The ALS Association help?

We fulfill our mission by offering programs, services, and equipment free of charge to anyone affected by ALS residing in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
