Join the CVDPN Team: Make a Difference in Disaster Preparedness!
Are you passionate about community service and making a tangible impact? The Coachella Valley Disaster Preparedness Network (CVDPN) is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to equipping every citizen in the Coachella Valley with essential disaster preparedness skills and knowledge. We offer training, education, and networking opportunities in both English and Spanish. We need your help to achieve our mission and make our community safer!
Why Volunteer with CVDPN?

Flexible Opportunities: Choose a role that fits your schedule and interests-whether you can volunteer a few hours a month or more.
Skill Development: Gain experience and skills in event management, marketing, IT, and more.
Community Connection: Work with a dedicated team and build relationships with local businesses and community members.
Volunteer Roles Available
Community Event Support:
Help manage tables at community events, distribute educational materials, and engage with attendees.
Shifts available from 2 hours to a few hours a month, with weekday and occasional Saturday options.
Training Event Assistance:
Assist with setting up rooms, staging refreshments, managing registrations, and breaking down after events.
Flexible hours, mostly on weekdays.
Marketing & External Relations:
Manage email blasts, create sign-up forms, and organize registrations (computer work, Excel and Word skills needed).
Work from home.
External Relations:
Foster relationships with members, businesses, and homeowner associations through letters, phone calls, and emails.
Work from home.
Community Event Ambassador:
Coordinate and schedule volunteers for events, manage monthly calendars, and assist in training and enlisting new volunteers.
IT Setup for Presentations:
Provide technical support for linking computers, managing presentations, and troubleshooting equipment conflicts.
Help with video formatting and distribution.
Social Media Engagement:
Assist with expanding our presence on Facebook, Twitter, and other social media platforms.
Videographer/Editor/Producer:
Film, edit, and produce videos of training sessions and presentations for our YouTube channel.
