Children’s Programming Volunteers engage visitors, adding informal educational opportunities and information to the overall garden experience during classes and events, while assisting our Education Coordinator. Volunteers must have an interest in sharing their knowledge, enthusiasm, and appreciation for the collections and exhibits at the Garden. Volunteers should be willing to initiate interactions with guests, give accurate information, and project a positive image when representing the Garden to the public. Opportunities under this volunteer role are: Summer Camp and Spring Break activities, Curiosity Cart attendant, Storytime & Sensory Bin, Fairy Tale Fridays, etc. Shifts are available on an as needed basis and may be morning or afternoon. Most opportunities arise in spring and summer months. Some opportunities may require training meetings/classes with the Education Coordinator, such as Summer Camp.
