WE HAVE OPENED A NON-PROFIT HOSPICE OFFICE IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD. We are in need of VOLUNTEERS willing to spend a little time with our patients in the patients' homes and/or in nursing homes. Volunteers have flexibility with days/times they choose to help, though most needs are weekdays during the day. Volunteers provide COMPANIONSHIP and COMPASSIONATE BEDSIDE PRESENCE for patients. NO HANDS-ON CARE REQUIRED! Volunteers also offer a break for overwhelmed family members to be able to have a brief break. **Requires both in-person and self-study training. Description
Our volunteer program is designed to bring caring, compassionate people from the community into the lives of our patients and their families to provide some companionship, bedside compassionate presence and caregiving relief. Our current goal is to build our volunteer base in Montgomery County.
