Microsoft 365 Support Specialist for Ripples in Africa

Help empower women-led communities in West Africa by ensuring seamless technology operations! Ripples in Africa seeks a Microsoft 365 Support Specialist to maintain and optimize our digital infrastructure, enabling efficient collaboration and secure donor management.

Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support:
- Troubleshoot and resolve Microsoft 365 application issues (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online) for staff and volunteers.
- Manage user accounts, licenses, and permissions via the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
- Monitor system performance and security, addressing vulnerabilities in alignment with nonprofit data compliance standards.
- System Maintenance:
- Implement and maintain security policies, including multi-factor authentication and data loss prevention (DLP) protocols.
- Conduct regular audits of Microsoft 365 environments to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Assist in migrating legacy systems to cloud-based solutions.
- Collaboration & Training:
- Train staff on Microsoft 365 tools to enhance productivity for programs supporting **17,200 women entrepreneurs.
- Partner with fundraising teams to optimize donor management workflows using Power Automate and Power BI.

Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Exchange Online, and Azure Active Directory
- Experience troubleshooting Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive issues in remote work environments.
- Knowledge of security best practices (e.g., conditional access, encryption).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to document solutions in ticketing systems.
- Basic PowerShell scripting for automation tasks (preferred).

Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or similar certification.
- Experience in nonprofit or remote team environments.
- Familiarity with GDPR or donor privacy compliance.

- Secure donor data and streamline operations, enabling more resources to reach women-led farming co-ops.

Time Commitment: 8-12 hours/week (flexible)

We work with women and youth, training them on modern, eco-friendly agriculture techniques to help them transform their economies to be a more inclusive, productive and sustainable one..

Ripples works in Ghana, Madagascar and Nigeria, and has worked funded and provided funding that has benefited over 6,000 since it's inception in the UK in 2005. We currently have a Farm project: http://ripplesfoundation.ngo/ripples-farms.php; and an Experential Internship program: http://ripplesfoundation.ngo/internship.php
We want to encourage American youth to develop international lenses and become immersed in a rich culture where they are part of the solution as well as create a hands on learning environment on creative ways to humanitarian efforts. We are in partnership with a several universities and successfully completed a trips with students from Europe and the United States. We want to raise funds and awareness for the program. We have several reports and videos from past students after their visits. We have several projects going on in Africa which served as an internship for the students.
