List of duties;

  • Feeding Cats
  • Scooping litter boxes
  • Washing or refreshing water bowls
  • Sweeping floors
  • Mopping floors
  • Socializing with the cats
  • Unpaid
This is a cat sanctuary for un-adoptable felines and some of which include FIV/FELV positive cats. We will need help Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for about 4 hours each day. It's located in the New River area. This is a great opportunity for those who want to make a difference for these felines who are unable to have the warmth and love of a regular home. You will always be working with a senior volunteer(s) who will share in the daily responsibilities.

Mission Statement

Founded in 1980, St. Francis Feline Sanctuary is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that is supported entirely by donations. We are a long-term shelter for felines that are considered "special needs" or "unadoptable" by other organizations. This includes felines who are FELV and FIV positive and those that are not social. Approximately 100 cats call St. Francis home.

Description

Our kitties roam free on a beautiful 5 acre fully enclosed hilltop property in New River, Arizona. They can choose to spend their time in the main house or outside on the 5 acres at any time. There is a separate 1/2 acre enclosure for FELV positive kitties who have their own "little house" that has all of the comforts and amenities of the main house.
