Hi there! Neighborhood Forest is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to giving free trees to kids every Earth Day. Over the last 3 years, we have given over 100,000 trees to children to plant with families during Earth Week.

We have a presence in nearly all 50 states, Canada, and soon-to-be Mexico!

We are looking for an native Spanish speaking volunteer who is willing to help us translate a few of our resources to make sure our program is accessible for those we are serving. We want our resources / communication to feel authentic and genuine (not google translate).

This would be a very casual low-commitment opportunity that wouldn't take up much of your time.

Thank you for considering volunteering with us!

Mission Statement

We give free trees to kids every Earth Day. We love trees! We want to give every child the priceless joy of planting and watching trees grow. By doing so, we will beautify our neighborhoods, put a significant dent in our carbon footprint, and help instill in the hearts of our little ones a sense of magic, wonder, and love for our planet.

Description

Since 2010, Neighborhood Forest has mobilized over 1,500 schools, libraries, and youth groups, reached over 500,000 families, and has given over 130,000 children in 48 states (including Canada) the opportunity to plant their very own tree.

We are growing at a rapid rate and are on track to reach 1 million children by 2026.

Our dream is to reach every child in North America and eventually the world.

How does it work?

Schools, libraries, and youth groups enroll in our program. Parents sign-up to get a free tree for their child ahead of Earth Day. Trees for kids are distributed, via the school, library, or youth group to plant with their family during Earth Week (April 22-30).
