Doctors, Dentists, Nurses, Vets & Medical students Volunteer doctors Will work alongside Peruvian doctors in local medical centers in rural and urban areas, assisting in a wide range of procedures like delivering babies, treating epidemic diseases, creating and facilitating public health education and vaccination campaigns, and more. Volunteer Nurses Will have many opportunities to learn and practice with the doctor in the health center. In addition to assisting the doctor with patients, volunteer nurses should be prepared to develop and implement public health campaigns. This will involve spending time outside the health center and actively participating in the community. Medical students The medical students will be asked to develop and facilitate vaccination and public health campaigns. Health Education is crucial, and medical students will help facilitate educational workshops. This will entail spending time within the various communities and collaborating with the Peruvian Ministry of Health (MINSA).

Mission Statement
Volunteer and Explore South America, also known as V&E, is a Peruvian volunteering program managed by a fully registered Peruvian NGO established in 2023 to support people and animals in economically underprivileged communities and help uplift their living conditions. V&E provides volunteering opportunities to travelers who wish to engage in meaningful work while exploring the mesmerizing natural beauty of the region and enhancing their language skills by learning Spanish (in Peru) and Portuguese (in Brazil).
Description
Our local organization in Peru is currently seeking volunteers for a variety of positions, including caring for orphaned babies and toddlers, teaching English, providing support to a special needs school, shadowing doctors or nurses in medical centers, and organizing medical campaigns. Our local organization in Brazil is also looking for volunteers to teach English, arts, crafts, and theater.
In both countries, accommodation and food are provided in exchange for contributions. We welcome you to join us in making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
olunteering with the V&E program is open to everyone, regardless of their country of origin. We warmly welcome individuals from all around the world to join us in Peru and Brazil to learn about our way of life. To be eligible for the program, you must be at least 18 years old. If you are under 18, you can participate with parental consent. Moreover, you should be in good physical and mental health. While a basic level of Spanish (Perú) or Portuguese (Brazil) is helpful, it is not mandatory as we have translators to assist you. The only thing we ask of you is to bring your enthusiasm, an open mind, and a willingness to help and learn. By joining our program, you will become a part of our community and gain valuable knowledge.
