The Huntington’s Disease Society of America (HDSA) is the premier nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of everyone affected by Huntington’s disease. From community services and education to advocacy and research, HDSA is the world’s leader in providing help for today, hope for tomorrow for people with Huntington’s disease and their families. Our local HDSA Rocky Mountain Chapter hosts our largest golf tournament of the year -- bringing in $70,000 in 2023. The 2024 Fairways for Hope tournament is taking place at Arrowhead in Littleton, CO on July 27th. We are looking for new committee volunteers to join our incredible team!

We are looking for a motivated volunteer to fundraise via corporate and individual sponsorships.

Responsibilities include:

• Identify and build relationships with potential donors
• Contact corporate representatives
• Develop strategies to encourage new or increased contributions
• Secure commitments of participation or donations from individuals or corporate donors
• Update donor databases
• Working with event chairs to develop a sponsorship plan
• Help to recruit and train sponsorship subcommittee

Requirements

• Strong and professional communication skills -- written, verbal, presentation
• Promotes a strong sense of urgency for reaching goals and key deliverables
• Able to work independently
• Ability to bring new ideas to the team
• Well-connected in the corporate community and willing to ask others to support the cause
• Comfortable asking for large monetary contributions.
