Join Our Board: Empower the Future with Vets For Youth

About Vets for Youth: Vets for Youth is dedicated to empowering and preparing our youth for a promising future. We are passionate about creating opportunities for young people, focusing on mentorship, education, and life skills development. As we expand our reach and deepen our impact, we are looking for dynamic individuals to join our Board of Directors.

Board Member Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic guidance and governance to ensure Vets for Youth fulfills its mission effectively.
  • Act as an ambassador for the organization, advocating for our cause and engaging with the community.
  • Participate in fundraising and resource development activities.
  • Attend and contribute to regular board meetings and special events.
  • Offer expertise and insights in areas such as non-profit management, youth development, marketing, finance, or legal matters.

We Are Looking For:

  • Individuals with a passion for youth empowerment and community service.
  • Veterans or those with a connection to veteran communities, although this is not a requirement.
  • Professionals with experience in non-profit management, education, youth services, fundraising, legal, finance, or marketing.
  • Commitment to the organization’s mission and strategic objectives.
  • Ability to commit time for board meetings, committee meetings, planning sessions, and special events.

A solid foundation in socialization is key to success later in life. Vets For Youth believes in learning-based activities and extracurricular activities to help get youngsters engaged. Basic health comes with access to local food. Part of our mission is to teach kids how to grow food so they can have access to healthy food for the future. "Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime" - Lao Tzu. Community is the family that goes beyond family. It is the people and places that we come in contact with each and every day. When we strengthen communities, we strengthen individuals.
