This position couldn’t be more hands on in directly achieving our mission. As an Art Program Volunteer you will have the opportunity to build art kits and/or engage with children through creating art. Please note, you do not need to be a professional artist or formally trained. You just need to love helping children and see value in the process of creating art.
Primary Responsibilities
Art Kits:
- Deliver Art Kits to Hospital or Facility, complying with their direction, safety requirements, and protocols
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with volunteer team, hospitals, families, and donors
Art Hour:
Work with Volunteer Coordinator to ensure training is complete and
compliance is maintained
- Facilitate art projects
- Engage with children and their families
- Complete Art Hour Completion Sheet at the end of every shift
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with volunteer team, hospitals, families, and donors
Position Requirements
● Have transportation to volunteer sites
● Commitment to twice-monthly art hour events
● Access to email and a computer
● Pass a background check
● Must be 18 years of age or older

● Excellent written and verbal communication
● Demonstrates professionalism
● Ability to communicate effectively with all age groups, children and adults
● Strong interpersonal skills
● Highly organized and detail oriented
● Ability to recognize problems and respond appropriately
