The Empathy Catalyst Coach at CrowdDoing Pro Bono Coaching Collective plays a pivotal role in enhancing clients' emotional intelligence, specifically focusing on cultivating deeper empathy. This role involves guiding individuals to understand and resonate with others' feelings and perspectives, facilitating improved personal relationships, workplace dynamics, and community engagement. This is an unpaid, virtual volunteer role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead sessions to deepen clients' understanding of empathy and its impact on interpersonal relationships and societal engagement.
  • Employ a range of techniques and exercises to enhance clients’ empathetic listening skills and emotional responsiveness.
  • Assist clients in applying empathy in diverse settings, from personal interactions to professional environments.
  • Teach clients how to use empathy as a tool for effective communication, conflict resolution, and building stronger connections.
  • Offer resources and activities to help clients practice and maintain empathy, even in challenging or high-stress situations.
  • Support clients in leveraging their empathy skills for meaningful social impact, community involvement, and collaborative projects.
  • Regularly assess and track client progress in developing and applying empathy in their daily lives.
  • Ensure a safe, open, and confidential environment for clients to explore and enhance their empathy skills.
  • Continuously update knowledge and skills in empathy training, emotional intelligence, and related areas through professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in coaching, counseling, or psychology, with a focus on emotional intelligence and empathy development.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to facilitate emotional learning.
  • Familiarity with various empathy-building strategies and their application across different contexts.
  • A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to inspire individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • (Optional) Relevant certification or training in emotional intelligence, empathy development, psychology, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in empathy, compassion, and emotional intelligence practices
  • Experience in coaching and leadership development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and in a remote environment
  • Experience in social enterprise and/or non-profit sectors is a plus
  • Experience with designing and delivering effective coaching programs
  • Experience in mentoring, facilitation, and/or training skills
  • Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or related field is preferred

Time Commitment: Flexible, to be determined based on client needs and coach availability.

Location: Remote / Virtual.

This role is suited for coaches who are passionate about fostering emotional intelligence and empathy, helping clients to form more meaningful connections and contribute positively to their communities.

Role Description

This is a remote volunteer role for an Empathy Catalyst Pro Bono Coach at CrowdDoing. The Empathy Catalyst Pro Bono Coach will be responsible for assisting our team with the development and implementation of empathy-based coaching programs to help individuals and organizations improve empathy, compassion, and emotional intelligence. The Empathy Catalyst Pro Bono Coach will work closely with our team to design and deliver effective coaching programs and provide guidance on implementing empathy and emotional intelligence practices.
