Our mission is to improve the South Kelso Neighborhood and to help members of our community feel safe. We believe in treating our community with respect, dignity, and kindness. We are a true grass roots organization that helps our community with basic needs along with other programs to help beautify our neighborhood. We want to help our community be proud of where they live.
As a Funding Support Volunteer, you will help our organization continue to grow and support our local community by assisting in researching grants and funding opportunities. You will also assist in or write grants.
This is a virtual role, averaging 5 hours per week with a flexible schedule. We request at least one month commitment and welcome ongoing support. Knowledge in grant/funding research/opportunities preferred.

HUNGER FREE AMERICA (formerly known as the New York City Coalition Against Hunger) is a national nonprofit group building a nonpartisan, grass-roots membership movement to enact the policies and programs needed to end domestic hunger and ensure that all Americans have sufficient access to nutritious food.
Our long-term goal is not just to ameliorate the problem, but also to build the people’s movement necessary to enact the economic and public policies needed to end hunger entirely. Given that hunger drains our economy and tears at our moral and civic fabric, we know that eliminating it will boost the nation both economically and spiritually. Towards that end, we’ve adopted the motto: "Ending hunger lifts us all."
