We have volunteer opportunities for anyone aged 14-years and older at all 3 of our Quad City campuses. Our shifts are typically 8 am-noon, noon-4 pm, 4-7 pm through the week, and we also have a shift on Saturdays from 7am-noon. Our volunteer opportunities vary from campus to campus, but include the following: staffing the Gift Shops, answering phones, running errands throughout the hospital, escorting patients to their appointments, providing wayfinding instructions, supporting departments with needs behind-the-scenes, pet therapy (for those with a certified canine), offering supplies to patients receiving treatment, entering data into a computer, crocheting or knitting items for patients, and more! We also have a committee of volunteers that discusses and plans fundraising opportunities with proceeds coming back to help support the needs of our patients. No experience is necessary. All we ask our volunteers for is a commitment of 30 hours of service across a 6-month timeframe.

Description
UnityPoint Health - Trinity is a 4-campus healthcare organization. The volunteers that support our organization are an engaged group dedicated in helping provide exceptional health care to the Quad Cities community. Volunteer services strives for a positive and meaningful volunteer experience. As a volunteer, you are also included in Friends of Trinity, a group with a mission to support UnityPoint Health - Trinity through volunteering and fundraising efforts. Our volunteer opportunities include, but are not limited to: answering phones, running errands throughout the hospital, making floral arrangements, staffing the Gift Shops, providing wayfinding instructions, offering pet therapy (with a certified canine), helping support staff on the units, working on projects (ex: large fundraisers and vendor sales), stuffing packets of educational materials, and much more.

- We ask each of our volunteers to commit to AT LEAST one shift of 2-4 hrs each week or every other week, totaling 30 hours of services over the course of at least 6 months.
- We want our volunteers to come to their assignment with pleasant attitudes and a compassionate heart, wanting to help those in need. Certain vaccination requirements are needed, mirroring that of our employees.
