Are you looking for a way to get involved with Habitat Omaha but not so sure that construction is the thing for you? Or maybe you’re enthusiastic about helping the environment and want a new way to get involved with the green movement. Either way, volunteering at Habitat ReStore is just the thing for you.
- Help with exterior work on grounds
- Help stock shelves
- Help with customer service
- Load and unload donation trucks
Each of these tasks is crucial for the success of Habitat ReStore, helping to build more Habitat homes in Omaha.
ReStore volunteers are required to wear closed toe shoes or boots and weather appropriate clothing. Due to the nature of the work, pants or shorts that hit at the knees or below are recommended.

Mission Statement
Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope
Description
No matter who we are or where we come from, we all deserve to have a decent life, to feel strong and stable, and to know we have the power to take care of ourselves and build our own futures.
To address the need for quality housing in our community, Habitat for Humanity of Omaha builds and renovates homes, repairs
existing houses, takes down blighted structures and advocates for better laws and systems. We work with families to help them
acquire the access, skills and financial education necessary to become successful homeowners. Since 1984, Habitat Omaha has
partnered with more than 1,600 families in our community to provide affordable homeownership and home improvement
opportunities. Thousands of donors and volunteers have worked together with future homeowners to make these opportunities
a reality, building stronger neighborhoods and effecting measurable change in the community. Habitat Omaha has revitalized
properties with very little taxable value, resulting in approximately $524,000 in property taxes paid by Habitat Omaha
homeowners in 2018.
