Fossil Butte National Monument is looking for a volunteer to help with creation of curriculum-based education activities. Fossil Butte is creating education kits with fossil fish that will be sent to schools around the state. The volunteer will create curriculum-based activities for the receiving schools to complete with the education kits. Previous experience creating curriculum-based activities is required.
An RV site with electrical, water, and sewer hookups is provided with a minimum of 32 hours worked per week. You must bring your own RV.
Fossil Butte National Monument preserves a portion of the sediments of 52-million-year-old Fossil Lake. The area is known for the abundance of well-preserved fossil fishes, insects, plants, birds, and more. The visitor center is the main attraction in the park and has over 2000 fossils on display.
