8by8 is looking for a volunteer Fundraiser Lead to lead our volunteer team to design, refine, and execute a fundraising strategy for our organization. We are a volunteer-run nonprofit working to #StopAsianHate at the ballot box, by increasing historically low voter registration and political participation in our Asian communities. Our "8by8 challenge" app will use social engagement and viral marketing to spread the message of voter registration; challengers will invite 8 of their friends to register to vote in 8 days, providing a fun and engaging way to register new voters.

To ensure the successful launch of our app and obtain more opportunities to support the Asian community, we are looking for an experienced, motivated, and passionate fundraising lead. The role will focus on building effective fundraising systems and creating strategies for grants.

You will:

• Build a long-term plan to grow online donation revenue and improve relationships with organizations that offer grants

• Design, build, and maintain fundraising plans and campaigns that set and align with our goals

• Draft, test, and deliver emails about fundraising

• Identify potential fundraising opportunities with other organizations

• Oversee/participate in annual appeals, events, stewardship, grant writing and communications

• Prepare and adhere to budgets, taking part in financial analysis

• Collaborate with team leads to ensure campaigns and plans align with organizational visions

You are:

• Experienced in fundraising for at least 1-2 years

• Self-motivated and customer-focused

• Proficient in fundraising research and statistical analysis

• Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising fundraising campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate

• A capable leader with strong delegation and management skills
