Position: Volunteer Tumbling Instructor

Responsibilities:

1. Acrobatic Instruction:

   • Provide expert instruction in tumbling and acrobatic skills suitable for dance performances.
   • Teach fundamental tumbling techniques, such as rolls, cartwheels, handsprings, and aerials.

2. Choreography Integration:

   • Collaborate with dance team directors to seamlessly integrate tumbling elements into dance routines.
   • Choreograph routines that showcase the athleticism and grace of tumbling skills.

3. Safety Guidance:

   • Emphasize safety protocols and proper spotting techniques to ensure the well-being of dancers during tumbling sessions.
   • Foster an environment where dancers feel confident to explore and progress in their tumbling abilities.

4. Mentorship:

   • Offer mentorship and support to dancers, helping them build strength, flexibility, and confidence in their tumbling skills.
   • Encourage a positive and inclusive learning environment.

5. Rehearsals and Performances:

   • Lead tumbling-focused rehearsals to prepare dancers for performances and competitions.
   • Work collaboratively with other coaches and directors to synchronize tumbling elements with overall dance productions.

Requirements:

1. Expertise in Tumbling:

   • Strong background and expertise in tumbling and acrobatics, with a focus on skills suitable for dance performances.
   • Previous coaching or teaching experience in tumbling is highly desirable.

2. Passion for Mentorship:

   • Genuine interest in mentoring and guiding young dancers to excel in tumbling and acrobatic skills.
   • Ability to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment.

3. Availability:

   • Commitment to a consistent schedule for tumbling rehearsals and training sessions.
